State Secretary Gordan Bakota met with South Australia’s State Attorney Michael Atkins

State Secretary at the Croatian Ministry of Foreign Affairs Gordan Bakota met today at the Ministry with South Australia’s State Attorney Michael Atkins

Atkinson informed State Secretary Bakota about Croatian-born citizens of South Australia who work in tuna farming and fishing, as well as mining.

Bakota informed State Attorney Atkins about the situation in Croatia and the region. The two also talked about the application form for getting the Australian visa, as well as about the Croatian agriculture and infrastructure. Biščević familiarised his guest with Croatia’s candidacy for EU membership and with the intention of applying for non-permanent membership of the UN Security Council 2008/2009. The two also discussed Croatia’s co-operation with the Hague Tribunal and the position of Croatian minorities.

Bakota also informed Atkinson about Croatia’s justice reforms, and invited Australia to invest in Croatia, especially tourism, fishing, energetics and infrastructure.
