Assistant Flory was one of the introductory panellists at the Regional Acquisition Conference held from 2 to 4 March at the Croatian Military College “Petar Zrinski”, organised by the Ministry of Defence of the Republic of Croatia and the NATO Allied Command Transformation (ATC).

During the talks, the collocutors mentioned the current situation in Afghanistan, the events taking place in South East Europe, and the issues of transformation of defence capabilities of the Alliance, with special emphasis being put on international operations.

With regard to Croatia as the host and the organisation of the conference itself, NATO Assistant Secretary General Flory said that it was Croatia’s commendable and very concrete contribution to the activities of introducing the countries in the region with NATO defence programmes, that are available not only to the member countries but also to the NATO partner countries.
