Under the auspices of Croatian Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Marija Pejčinović Burić and Hungarian Deputy Prime Minister Zsolt Semjén, a ceremony was held 8 May 2019 on the occasion of the opening of the new premises of Croatica, a non-profit organization for culture, information and publishing, which also serves as the Croatian cultural centre in Hungary’s capital.

Addresses were delivered by State Secretary for Political Affairs Zdravka Bušić and State Secretary for Churches, Minorities and Civil Affairs at the Prime Minister’s Office Miklós Soltész.

Bušić said that the relations between Croatia and Hungary were an example of quality and dynamic good-neighbourly relations, in which special attention is paid to the protection of national minorities. She was convinced that the new Croatica premises would bolster the work of this non-profit, which would continue contributing to the preservation of the identity and culture of Hungary’s Croats, thanking them for nourishing for centuries the Croatian language, tradition, culture and customs, and being proud of their origin.
