State Secretary Biščević received to inaugural visit Montenegrin Ambassador Lukovac

State Secretary for Political Affairs Hido Biščević received on 20 February 2007 to inaugural visit Ambassador of the Republic of Montenegro Branko Lukovac

Ambassador Lukovac pointed out that Montenegro wants to establish successful neighbourly relations with Croatia that would serve as an example of the co-operation in the region. He also said he considers the relations between the two countries to have so far proven a high level of mutual trust.

The meeting also discussed the topics of the forthcoming consultations between Croatia and Montenegro, to be held 27 February 2007 in Zagreb, at the level of the foreign ministries’ state secretaries.

State Secretary Biščević informed Ambassador Lukovac about the latest activities Croatia is conducting on its road to the Euro-Atlantic integration and the activities of Croatia’s SEECP presidency.

The two also discussed the kidnapping of the two Croatian and one Montenegrin citizen in Nigeria, with Ambassador Lukovac pointing out that Montenegro hopes Croatia, as a part the efforts to help its citizens, would help the Montenegrin citizen as well.
