State Secretary Bianca Matković visited Children’s home “Zagreb” in Nazorova Street

State Secretary for Political Affairs at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration Bianca Matković visited on Monday, 2 June 2008, Children’s home “Zagreb” in Nazorova Street in Zagreb. On this occasion she presented the protégés of the Home with toys and candies, a donation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration and the “Kraš” company

Home Manager Jasna Ćurković Kelava informed State Secretary Matković on the current activities of the Home, which currently has around 100 protégés under 7 years of age and on the difficulties with the procedures of Home protégés adoption and home finding.

Home manager Ćurković Kelava also informed State Secretary Matković on the plans for Home reconstruction, value of which is around 15 million Kuna and which the Government of the Republic of Croatia plans to start soon using loans from the World Bank. Thanking her for this, as well as for the past visits and for the help provided to the Children’s home “Zagreb”, Manager Ćurković Kelava asked State Secretary Matković for help with speeding up the project of the Home reconstruction and received full support from the State Secretary.
