State Secretary Bianca Matković met with Ferenc Gemesi, State Secretary at Hungarian Prime Minister’s Office

State Secretary for Political Affairs at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration Bianca Matković met today with Ferenc Gemesi, the State Secretary at the Prime Minister’s Office of the Republic of Hungary

State Secretary Matković informed State Secretary Gemesi with the course of the reforms Croatia is carrying out as a part of its EU and NATO accession, thanking the Hungarian Government for the continuous support for Croatia in that regard.

The meeting discussed the setting up of the third joint session between the Croatia and Hungarian governments, to be held in September this year in Pécs. It was pointed out that the holding of these joint sessions is important for a continual enhancement of the bilateral political relations, as well as for the implementation of a series of joint interstate projects.

Talking about the situation in the region, State Secretary Gemesi emphasized Croatia’s importance as a stability factor, which can through its experience assist other countries in the region in their Euro-Atlantic integration accession.
