Second batch of humanitarian aid delivered to Benghazi, Libya

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration coordinated the entire action of sending the humanitarian aid from Croatia to Libya by sea, as well as covered the shipping costs

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration coordinated the entire action of sending the humanitarian aid from Croatia to Libya by sea, as well as covered the shipping costs.

The shipment includes medication from Koprivnica’s Belupo and medical supplies provided by the Croatian Ministry of Defence. It is worth around one million kunas.

The official handover to representatives of the Medical Supply Department of the Ministry of Health in Benghazi was done by deputy ambassador Vojko Senker. Department Head Jazia Yunis thanked the Croatian people for the humanitarian aid, as well as the support for the National Transitional Council and the entire Libyan nation.

This action is part of the overall humanitarian efforts by the international community towards Libya. Through OCHA, the international community has identified health as the priority sector for receiving development assistance in the following period.
