The Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs would like to report that as of 1 December 2016 the Italian authorities started to shut down the frequencies that have caused interference in the reception of TV and radio signals in Istria, Croatian Littoral and Dalmatia

The Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs would like to report that as of 1 December 2016 the Italian authorities started to shut down the frequencies that have caused interference in the reception of TV and radio signals in Istria, Croatian Littoral and Dalmatia.

The good news was communicated to the Croatian Embassy in Rome by the Ministry of Economic Development, which also promptly informed the International Telecommunication Union about it.

The MFEA has closely cooperated on settling the issue with the Ministry of the Sea, Transport and Infrastructure, Croatian Regulatory Authority for Network Industries, Electronic Media Agency and Transmitters and Communications Ltd., and has systematically communicated Croatia’s concerns to the Italian side in all bilateral contacts.

The MFEA would also like to thank the Italian Embassy in Zagreb for its commitment in resolving the issue which has been burdening the good-neighbourly and partner relations between Croatia and Italy for the past few years.
