Regarding today’s incident at the Croatian-Slovenian border in Istria, when 12 Slovenian citizens tried to cross the border outside the border crossing and some of them refused to show the Croatian border police their IDs, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs issues the following press release

According to the police report, it was an attempt of illegally crossing the Croatian border. The Croatian border police apprehended the persons involved and proceedings were instigated against them. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs is seeking a diplomatic solution to the problem.

Tonight, at 10.22 PM, the detained Slovenian citizens crossed the border and left Croatian territory.
