Pusić meets Albanian Ambassador Pellumb Qazimi

The two officials expressed satisfaction with excellent bilateral relations

The two officials expressed satisfaction with excellent bilateral relations and advanced bilateral, regional and multilateral cooperation, namely within NATO.

Qazimi said that based on progress it made in the pre-accession process, Croatia was a role-model to all other Southeast European countries, adding that Albania was interested in using Croatia's experience.

Pusić said that this month the government had decided to set up a council for transition processes which will act as centre for transfer of knowledge and experience from Croatia's NATO and EU accession process.

She added that Croatia’s transition and Euro-integration experience would be the topic of this year’s Croatia Summit, to be held July in Dubrovnik.

Discussing economic cooperation, Pusić and Qazimi expressed willingness to further advance it and create preconditions for the development of a positive investment climate.

The Albanian ambassador said he was satisfied with the position of the Albanian minority in Croatia, notably the possibility of enrolling in the Albanian language curriculum offered by nine elementary schools in Croatia.

Also talked about was the upcoming visit by Albanian Minister for European Integration Majlinda Bregu to Zagreb, scheduled for the following month.
