Pusić and Veljanoski discuss future cooperation, regional reforms

First Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign and European Affairs Minister Vesna Pusić met with Speaker of Macedonia’s Sobranie Trajko Veljanoski, who is on an official visit to Croatia. “Croatia maintains a consistent policy towards Macedonia and supports it in two extremely important projects –EU and NATO,” Pusić said. The two officials underlined their countries’ excellent relations and willingness to continue cooperating in all areas. Talking about the region, Pusić and Veljanoski agreed on the importance of conducting reforms aimed at forming stable democracies i.e. countries that would become reliable and responsible partners. “Everyone in the region needs to be able to assume responsibility for its stability,” Pusić said.

Veljanoski expressed satisfaction with his visit to a friendly country and an EU member state which Macedonia considers its important advocate within the EU. He thanked Croatia for the support and transfer of experiences through all forms of cooperation and on all the levels.
