During her official visit to Iran, First Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign and European Affairs Minister Vesna Pusić met with President Hassan Rouhani for talks on Iran-Croatia relations, the ongoing nuclear negotiations, and the need for a joint global fight against extremists and terrorists. Speaking of bilateral relations, Rouhani said Iran had been among the first countries to recognise Croatia, and that the good bilateral relations should continue to be developed in the economy and culture. Speaking of the fight against extremism and terrorism, he said it was important that everyone united in the fight against those who were a threat to stability and security. Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif attended Pusić's talks with Rouhani.
