The Republic of Croatia is following closely and with concern the developments in Iraq and in the entire Middle East

The Republic of Croatia is following closely and with concern the developments in Iraq and in the entire Middle East. We call for calming the situation, restraining from the use of force and investing additional efforts to find a diplomatic solution in the interest of all sides and the preservation of global peace.

We are in constant contact with the Croatian embassy in Baghdad. The embassy staff and all Croatian nationals in Iraq are safe and well.
