Press release on public announcement of Piran Court’s decision regarding Slovene Joško Joras’ charges against Croatia

Regarding today’s public announcement by the Piran’s Court decision regarding the Slovenian citizen Joško Joras’ charges against Croatia, the MFAEI wishes to point out that the Slovenian court has no jurisdiction over the Croatian national territory and that it considers this decision unacceptable and legally unfounded and void

The MFAEI wishes to remind about the well-known Croatia’s positions and repeat once again that the international road traffic border crossing of Plovanija, as well as Joras’ house, are undeniably located within the Croatian national territory, in the Buje municipality, and as such are under constant jurisdiction, both in ex-Yugoslavia and the independent Republic of Croatia, of the Croatian national bodies.

The relevant Croatian national bodies will take the necessary measures, within their jurisdiction, to prevent unauthorised activities in the area of the Plovanija international border crossing.
