Press release on Germany’s assuming EU presidency

On the occasion of the Federal Republic of Germany’s assuming the EU presidency, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration would like to express its conviction that under German presidency, the EU will continue to work on solving the issues crucial for its further development, among which the continuation of the enlargement is of special importance to Croatia.

In that regard, the MFAEI expects that Croatia’s accession negotiations with the EU will pick up speed during the German presidency, which will significantly affect the realisation of Croatia’s plans and expectations as regards full EU membership.
