Political consultations held in Zagreb between Croatian and Swiss foreign ministries
Political consultations were held today, 8 November 2004 in Zagreb, between Croatian and Swiss foreign ministries, hosted by State Secretary for Political Affairs at the Croatian MFA Hido Biščević. The Swiss delegation was led by State Secretary at the Swiss MFA Franz von Däniken
State Secretaries Biščević and von Däniken talked about further improving the bilateral co-operation between the two countries and exchanged opinions about the situation in this part of Europe, as well as the bilateral relations between Croatia and its neighbouring countries.
State Secretary Biščević informed the Swiss State Secretary about Croatia’s activities pending the start of the membership negotiations with the EU. The two reviewed the ways of strengthening future co-operation between Croatia and the Swiss Confederation on a multilateral level, especially within OSCE and the UN. Both agreed on the necessity to expand the economic co-operation and expressed satisfaction with the prospect of the next Crans Montana forum being held in Zagreb, 13 April 2005.
