Part of scanned aerial photographs returned

Slightly less than half of the scanned aerophotogrammetric material – 1.3 terabytes of data or 8800 aerial photographs of Croatia taken before 1968 – has been returned to Croatia. It is estimated that scanning of the rest of the material will take an additional four to six months. The documentation is being kept at the Belgrade Military Geographical Institute, and is required for the legalization of illegally-built objects in Croatia.

The return of these photographs was one of the topics of the talks between First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign and European Affairs Vesne Pusić and Serbian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence Aleksandar Vučić held in Zagreb and Belgrade. We therefore consider this a proof of the continuous cooperation and mutual willingness to take a constructive and practical approach to solving the outstanding issues.
