On margins of OSCE foreign ministers’ meeting in Corfu, Minister Gordan Jandroković met with BiH Foreign Minister Sven Alkalaj

The collocutors discussed the two countries’ bilateral relations and the state of affairs in Europe’s southeast

The collocutors discussed the two countries’ bilateral relations and the state of affairs in Europe’s southeast.

Minister Jandroković said he expects the Act on the Protection of Domestic Production, passed June 18th 2009 by the BiH Parliamentary Assembly, would be revoked, as it is directed against free trade with the Republic of Croatia. He warned about the harmfulness and unjustifiablity of passing a protectionist and discriminatory law by which BiH is violating the obligations assumed by entering CEFTA. He also pointed out that such conduct run counter to the spirit of neighbourly cooperation, which both countries advocate, and that should this law be implemented, it would affect the overall relations between the two countries and force Croatia to take steps to protect its interests.
