Mr. Tonino Picula, the Croatian Foreign Minister, received Mr. Lawrence G. Rossin

On Monday, Mr. Tonino Picula, the Croatian Foreign Minister, received Mr. Lawrence G. Rossin, the Ambassador of the USA, to a farewell visit.

Minister Picula thanked the Ambassador Rossin on his contribution to the strengthening of the American-Croatian relations, and expressed his wish for the continuation of substantial relations between Croatia and the USA. Minister Picula also added that the Republic of Croatia calls for a strong transatlantic cooperation with the USA which has been of strategic importance for Croatia and its surroundings.

Minister Picula and Ambassador Rossin both expressed their conviction that the USA and the Republic of Croatia will resolve, through a constructive dialogue, all issues of mutual interest, and that the development of bilateral relations in the forthcoming period will gain a new swing.

Ambassador Rossin terminated his Ambassadorial mandate in the Republic of Croatia after two and a half years and is to be succeeded by Mr. Ralph Frank.
