Mr. Ivan Šimonović, the Croatian Deputy Foreign Minister, received H.E. Mahi Nasimi

On Tuesday, 26 August 2003, Mr. Ivan Šimonović, the Croatian Deputy Foreign Minister, received H.E. Mahi Nasimi, the Macedonian Ambassador to the Republic of Croatia, who presented copies of credentials by which the President of the Republic of Macedonia appointed him as the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Macedonia to the Republic of Croatia.

In brief talks, the interlocutors agreed that good political relations between the Republic of Croatia and the Republic of Macedonia are to be followed by the improvement of economic cooperation between the two countries. Mr. Šimonović emphasised that progress in the field of economy is visible, taking into consideration that the Free Trade Agreement and its Amendments between the two countries, as well as the approach of the Republic of Macedonia to the World Trade Organisation, which is a solid legal framework for cooperation.
