Ministers Grabar-Kitarović and Rončević heading Croatian delegation at the NAC meeting

Minister Grabar-Kitarović reported on Croatia’s progress in approaching NATO during this year’s cycle of the Membership Action Plan (MAP) in the political, economic and security sense. Minister Grabar-Kitarović pointed out Croatia’s progress in the implementation of crucial political issues, such as the co-operation with the ICTY, justice reform, refugee return, reconstruction, regional co-operation, minority protection and participation in NATO peacekeeping operations.

Minister Grabar-Kitarović also pointed out the importance of the Alliance’s dedication to further enlargement. Minister Rončević reported on the progress in defence reforms, especially the strategic defence overview.

The Alliance members commended Croatia’s progress in the field of regional co-operation, taking part in NATO operations and defence reform, and expressed their wish for it to become a NATO member as soon as possible. This NAC meeting with the Republic of Croatia concluded the third cycle of the MAP.
