Croatian Foreign Minister Miomir Žužul sent today, 11 March 2004, a letter extending his deepest condolences to the Foreign Minister of the Kingdom of Spain, Ana Palacio, and families of the victims of today's terrorist attack in Madrid that claimed hundreds of casualties
“I was deeply shaken to receive the tragic news about today’s terrorist train attacks in Madrid, that claimed the lives of many innocent civilians. I extend my deepest condolences to the grieving families of the tragically departed in today’s hideous act of terrorism,” reads Minister Žužul’s letter.
Hoping for a quick recovery to those wounded in today’s attacks, Minister Žužul expressed his support to the Anti-Terrorist Coalition and conformed Croatia’s determination in war against terrorism. “by mutual effort we will overcome the most ruthless evil of the 21st century,” said Minister Žužul in his letter to the Spanish Foreign Minister.
