Minister Žužul received to a farewell visit French Ambassador to Croatia Francis Bellanger

Minister Žužul described the relations between France and Croatia as very good, pointing out the good bilateral co-operation and the importance of France’s support to Croatia in the realisation of its most important foreign policy goals – EU and NATO membership. Minister Žužul thanked Ambassador Bellanger for his personal contribution to the development of French-Croatian relations.

The two stressed the importance of learning French, not enough represented in the Croatian schools, for the purposes of strengthening bilateral co-operation and Croatia’s joining the European institutions.

Ambassador Bellanger confirmed that the relations between France and Croatia are very good, adding that France will continue to support Croatia in its process of integration into the Euro-Atlantic institutions. He stressed the necessity of strengthening economic co-operation and announced the important meeting between French and Croatian businessmen in Paris, March 2005. Ambassador Bellanger expressed his satisfaction with the co-operation with the Croatian MFA and thanked Minister Žužul for his support.
