Minister Žužul received the newly appointed French ambassador to Croatia, François Saint-Paul

Foreign Minister Miomir Žužul received today, 3 November 2004, to a welcome visit the newly appointed French ambassador to Croatia, François Saint-Paul, who handed the copies of his credentials

Minister Žužul described the Croatian-French relations as very good, highlighting the gradual dynamics of the development of bilateral relations and pointing out the importance of France’s support in the realisation of Croatia’s foreign policy goals – EU and NATO membership.

French Ambassador Saint-Paul agreed with the remark that the French-Croatian relations are very good, adding that France will continue to support Croatia in its process of integrating into the Euro-Atlantic institutions. Saint-Paul pointed out that, during his mandate in Croatia, he will personally support Croatia on its way to EU membership and give concrete operative assistance to the Croatian negotiating team. The French ambassador also stressed the importance of strengthening the regional co-operation in South Eastern Europe.
