Foreign Affairs Minister Miomir Žužul held a presentation today, 30 November 2004, at the closing Ministerial Plenary Session of the Euro-Mediterranean process in the Hague, in which he supported further co-operation between European and Mediterranean countries
Minister Žužul emphasised in particular that there is no alternative to the dialogue and mutual respect between countries. Croatia is situated historically at a crossroads of different cultures and religions. I am proud to say that Croatia, after all the tragic events in the region, has made significant progress, especially in encouraging and achieving reconciliation, concluded Minister Žužul at the end of his presentation.
Topics of the closing Ministerial Plenary Session of the Euro-Mediterranean process included: future of the Barcelona process, economic reform and investment, and dialogue between cultures of the Mediterranean countries.
Minister Žužul also held a series of meeting with the foreign ministers from the Netherlands, Germany, Austria, Portugal, Malta, and Sweden.
