Ambassador Foley congratulated Minister Pusić on her appointment to the new position. Both sides expressed satisfaction with the high level of the two countries’ partnership and friendly relations, as well as the potential for their further advancement, singling out the cooperation within NATO and the cooperation in security partnership

Ambassador Foley congratulated Minister Pusić on her appointment to the new position. Both sides expressed satisfaction with the high level of the two countries’ partnership and friendly relations, as well as the potential for their further advancement, singling out the cooperation within NATO and the cooperation in security partnership.

Talking about the current priorities, Minister Pusić pointed out the activities conducted as part of the campaign pending Croatia’s EU accession referendum, to be held 22 January. She also touched on the preparations for the implementation of the border arbitration agreement with Slovenia.

The officials also exchanged opinions about the current situation in Southeast Europe, emphasizing the importance of Croatia-US cooperation for the stabilization of the region, as well as for assisting its countries in their reform and Euro-Atlantic integration processes.

Ambassador Foley informed Minister Pusić about the second Brown Forum, scheduled for early-April in Opatija and co-organized by the US Embassy in Zagreb, the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs, and other Croatian state and economic institutions.
