Pusić and Moran considered bilateral cooperation in light of the fact that Croatia is due to join the EU soon and that Chile signed the Association Agreement with the EU. They also agreed that the 200,000-strong Croat community in Chile provided a good basis for advancing the cooperation.

Both sides stressed the importance of economic diplomacy in intensifying the economic cooperation. Pusić welcomed Chile’s further investment in Croatia, especially the tourist sector.

She also said that Chile was interesting to Croatia in a number of ways, namely in terms of the education, private-public partnership, economic models, and the conducted reforms.
