The first day of her official visit to Chile, First Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign and European Affairs Minister Vesna Pusić met with the Croatian community in Santiago, at the Estadio Croata club.
Pusić told the gathered that that was her third visit to Chile and that each time she felt like home, surrounded by people whose roots, names and last names come from Brač, Konavle and the Croatian coast.
“I will come again, as I believe the Croatian community in Chile exemplifies the best Croatia has to offer in creativity, politics, science and entrepreneurship, and I would like the world to see Croatia the way it sees the Croatian community in Chile,” Pusić said. “As influential and important as you are in Chile, you are important for us in Croatia as well. So come, we are waiting for you!”
