Minister Pusić thanks Polish ambassador for support during EU accession

First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign and European Affairs Vesna Pusić received on inaugural visit the new Polish Ambassador to Croatia, Maciej Szymanski

First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign and European Affairs Vesna Pusić received on inaugural visit the new Polish Ambassador to Croatia, Maciej Szymanski, thanking him for the ratification of Croatia’s Accession Treaty and the support Poland had been showing Croatia during the negotiations, notably in the final stages, as it was precisely during the Polish presidency that the Treaty was signed.

Pusić said we valued Poland’s know-how in using EU funding and welcomed the cooperation between the two countries’ regions. She also expressed satisfaction with the growing number of Polish tourists that visited Croatia in 2012.

Szymanski said “there are no outstanding issues between Croatia and Poland, but I would like to open new areas of even more intensive cooperation.” Pusić agreed, adding that we still had untapped potential. She informed the Polish ambassador about the progress of the ratification process and Croatia’s relations with the neighbours.
