On the last day of her official visit to Chile, First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign and European Affairs Vesna Pusić met with Jean-Paul Lukšić

On the last day of her official visit to Chile, First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign and European Affairs Vesna Pusić met with Jean-Paul Lukšić, whose family is one of the largest private investors in Croatia. Pusić and Lukšić discussed the possibility of overcoming administrative barriers to doing business in Croatia with the help of economic diplomacy. “We want economic diplomacy to become the point investors will be able to turn to. We want to show the investors that we respect them and that the Croatian economy is counting on them, Pusić said, adding that Croatia wants to simplify the administrative procedures and adjust state administration to the needs of economic growth and attracting investments.

Pusić also met with entrepreneurs working on promoting cooperation between Croatia and Chile in the construction industry, energy and the construction of hydroelectric power plants. “We want to show to all companies interested in investing in Croatia that they are our partners and that they are welcome to Croatia,” Pusić said on the last day of her visit to Chile during which she had attended the inauguration of President Michelle Bachelet.
