Minister Pusić meets her Moroccan counterpart

Foreign and European Affairs Minister Vesna Pusić met Moroccan Foreign Minister Saad Al-Otmani in Cairo, on the fringes of a meeting of EU foreign ministers and the Arab League

Foreign and European Affairs Minister Vesna Pusić met Moroccan Foreign Minister Saad Al-Otmani in Cairo, on the fringes of a meeting of EU foreign ministers and the Arab League. The talks focused on the signing of an agreement which is expected to include topics of mutual interest - the building of institutions, as well as the two countries' cooperation in various other areas, such as culture and education.

Minister Al-Otmani attended this year's Croatia Summit, held in Dubrovnik on 6 and 7 July and took part in the panel discussion "Partnership and Building of Institutions in the Southern Mediterranean”.

At today's talks the two ministers agreed that the EU border must not be an obstacle to cooperation, mobility and building of new values, and that the key to development and democratization of North Africa lay in dialogue between both sides of the Mediterranean, notably on the issues of common security area and economic cooperation.
