(Hina) - Foreign and European Affairs Minister, Vesna Pusić, held bilateral meetings on the margins of a NATO ministerial gathering in Brussels on Tuesday, including talks with US Secretary of State John Kerry, Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu, as well as foreign ministers Aldo Bumci of Albania and Zalmai Rassoul of Afghanistan.

Pusić said that her talks with Secretary of State Kerry had revolved around possibilities for cooperation in Croatia's neighbourhood and the US interest in that region.

The Pusić-Davutoglu talks focused on the topics pertaining to the region, the enlargement of the Alliance and Turkey's EU membership aspirations. Pusić said that her Turkish counterpart would visit Zagreb next month.

The Croatian minister and her Albanian counterpart Bumci discussed cooperation in the energy sector and a regional initiative.

Pusić and Afghan minister Rassoul signed a contract on Croatia's assistance for a centre for training midwives in Afghanistan.
