First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign and European Affairs Vesna Pusic on Sunday congratulated Croatian citizens on Croatia's accession to the European Union (EU).  "People, we did it! We've finished this part of the job, I congratulate everyone. As of tomorrow we won't just be adapting to EU regulations and directives, as of tomorrow we have the responsibility to participate in co-deciding on these regulations, to have a clear picture of Croatia's interests and and absolutely to have a clear picture and complete responsibility to what European interests are."

According to Minister Pusic, Croatia will be an interested and active member of the EU and a co-creator of Europe.
