At the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs, Secretary General Dr Vesna Cvjetković held the regular consultations with the Secretary General of the Austrian Federal Ministry for European and International Affairs, Dr Johannes Kyrle.

Initially, they both spoke about the ceremonies on the occasion of the accession of the Republic of Croatia to the European Union that took place in Croatia and Austria. During the consultations, they talked, among other things, about the new role that the Republic of Croatia now has as a full member of the European Union, particularly concerning the enlargement in the context of the relation to the region of Southeast Europe. Current matters regarding the European Foreign Service were considered. They also talked about the possible cooperation in the consular  area and exchanged experiences related to further professionalization of Foreign Services and coordination of EU matters.
