Minister of Foreign and European Affairs Vesna Pusić received inaugural visit by the Ambassador of Bosnia and Herzegovina, H. E. Azra Kalajdžisalihović

Kalajdžisalihović thanked Croatia and Pusić personally for supporting Bosnia and Herzegovina, highlighting the meeting held 19 September in Brussels. She said she expected swift ratification of the Agreement on Cooperation in Euro-Atlantic Integration, adding that Croatia’s experience and knowledge could be of great use to Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Pusić reaffirmed that it was in Croatia’s vital interest that Bosnia and Herzegovina be stable, remarking that “in the integration process the path is actually more important than the objective, as it entails the building of state institutions, which is crucial for the citizens.”

The Croatian minister said that a pre-feasibility study was being drawn up to determine the best way to integrate the Croatian territory, noting that Croatia’s border with Bosnia and Herzegovina extended over more than a thousand kilometres and was important that it functioned, especially since Croatia was to become a full-fledged EU member the following year.

The Bosnian Ambassador extended her condolences over the death of Croatian parliament speaker Boris Šprem.
