Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration Kolinda Grabar-Kitarović received Hungary’s Foreign Minister Ferenc Somogyi

Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration Kolinda Grabar-Kitarović received today, 18 February 2005, at the Ministry in Zagreb, Hungary’s Foreign Minister Ferenc Somogyi, which was her first bilateral meeting at the ministerial level.

Minister Grabar-Kitarović and Minister Somogyi expressed mutual satisfaction with very good relations and co-operation between the two countries. The Hungarian minister pointed out the recent, very well noted visit by Croatian Prime Minister Ivo Sanader to Budapest, which confirmed and strengthened the successful relations and co-operation.

Minister Grabar-Kitarović thanked Minister Somogyi for the constant support Croatia’s been receiving from Hungary in its process of acceding to the EU and informed him about the efforts to meet the criteria and conditions for the start of the accession negotiations with the EU.

Minister Grabar-Kitarović gladly accepted Minister Somogyi’s invitation to visit Budapest in the near future.
