Minister Jandroković and other members of the delegation were familiarized with the up to date activities of the Croatian Community in the Republic of Macedonia, a large association that this year marked the 20th anniversary of its existence.

The Croatian Community is continually working on preserving the Croatian identity through organizing for the ninth year in a row the curriculum in Croatian, publishing a biannual herald called The Croatian Word, organizing cultural manifestations such as concerts and exhibitions, and forming drama and sport groups.

Minister Jandroković expressed satisfaction with the establishment of the Mixed Committee for the Implementation of the Interstate Agreement on Minority Protection, which will contribute to an even better protection and realization of minority rights, and wished the Croatian Community success with its further activities in nurturing the Croatian language and culture.

Association’s Chairperson Snježana Trojačanec expressed satisfaction with the exceptionally good co-operation between the Community and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration of the Republic of Croatia. She especially thanked Minister Jandroković, Croatian Ambassador to Macedonia Ivan Kujundžić, and the Ministry’s employees for their effort, co-operation, and professionalism in enhancing the Community’s activities.
