Minister Jandroković welcomed the role of the Croatian Cultural Society “Napredak” in cultivating and revitalising cultural and traditional heritage of Croats in Bosnia and Herzegovina

Minister Jandroković welcomed the role of the Croatian Cultural Society “Napredak” in cultivating and revitalising cultural and traditional heritage of Croats in Bosnia and Herzegovina. He pointed out that the Government of the Republic of Croatia supported the society’s activities and that it will continue with financial support to the Society’s projects through tenders for aid to educational, scientific, cultural and religious institutions of Croats in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Apart from this, the Government will continue to provide concrete financial assistance to numerous chapters of CCS “Napredak”, as well as to all other cultural, art and humanitarian associations whose goal is to improve the position of Croats in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Minister Jandroković also mentioned that the Croatian Government invited all private persons and institutions to step up their efforts in intensifying the connection among Croatian cultural institutions in the Homeland and in Bosnia and Herzegovina. In this context, he said that the Economic Forum, organised by the Caritas of the Bishops’ Conference of Bosnia and Herzegovina, where he will participate in person tomorrow, was proof of good cooperation of institutions and individuals from Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Republic of Croatia united in achieving the common goals of creating the conditions so that the Croats could stay and continue life in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

President of CCS “Napredak” Franjo Topić informed Minister Jandroković about the projects that are under way. He also thanked the Croatian Government for the assistance it provided for the projects implemented by the Society, and to the Croats in Bosnia and Herzegovina in general.
