Minister Jandroković held series of informal meetings at Charlemagne Prize award ceremony

At the ceremony of presenting the City of Aachen’s Charlemagne Prize award to German Chancellor Angela Merkel, a reception was held at which Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration Gordan Jandroković held a series of informal meetings with European officials

The ceremony featured the assembling of little cubes, each representing an EU country, with the 28th cube representing the Republic of Croatia.

In her speech before the political elite, which included French President Nicolas Sarkozy, Spanish King Juan Carlos I, President of the European Commission José Manuel Barroso, President of the European Parliament Hans-Gert Pöttering et al, Chancellor Merkel pointed out that Europe is both Berlin, Paris and Dubrovnik, which is a testimony to the fact that European officials consider Croatia a part of Europe.
