The collocutors expressed satisfaction with Croatia and Norway’s excellent relations, which have expanded to various areas over the years. Minister Jandroković thanked the Norwegian side for the financial assistance in mine action activities in the war torn areas, bearing in mind that in 2009 Norway was one of the largest donors to Croatia in that regard.

In light of the possibilities opened by today’s Norwegian-Croatian Economic Forum, the ministers expressed hope in the further enhancement of the two countries’ trade and economic cooperation, as well as in the increase of mutual investments, which would additionally strengthen the economic cooperation.

Minister Jandroković informed his counterpart Støre about the status of Croatia’s EU accession process. Pointing out Croatia’s determination to complete the technical part of the negotiations by the end of this year, he emphasized the willingness to continue with the necessary judicial reforms, the war on corruption and the public administration reform. Minister Støre reiterated Norway’s support for Croatia on its road to the EU membership.

Talking about the state of affairs in the region of South Eastern Europe, the ministers exchanged opinions and expressed hope in the positive outcome of the pending Sarajevo Summit. Croatia will continue to uphold all of the region’s countries along their path to the Euro-Atlantic integration, based on individual achievements and the meeting of all the criteria, said Minister Jandroković.
