Minister Grlić Radman visits Montenegro

Minister of Foreign and European Affairs Gordan Grlić Radman visited Montenegro on March 17, 2025. During the visit, he met with representatives of the Croatian community and participated in a panel discussion of the European People's Party on the EU enlargement to the Western Balkans.
 
During his meeting with the President of the Croatian National Council, Zvonimir Deković, and the President of the Croatian Civic Initiative, Adrijan Vuksanović, the minister emphasized the important role of the Croatian community in Montenegro in preserving Croatian identity and cultural heritage. He also reaffirmed that the Croatian Government will continue to advocate for their rights and interests. Discussions also covered the preservation of the cultural and national identity of Croats in Montenegro, as well as Croatia’s continued support for their projects and initiatives.
 
At the panel discussion on EU enlargement, Grlić Radman reaffirmed Croatia’s strong support for Montenegro’s European future. He stated that strengthening democratic institutions and resolving outstanding issues through constructive dialogue remain crucial, while ensuring justice for war victims, addressing missing persons, and fostering regional cooperation must align with European values and the rule of law.
