Minister Grlić Radman receives CEI secretary-general
On Tuesday, April 8, 2025, Minister of Foreign and European Affairs Gordan Grlić Radman met with Franco Dal Maso, Secretary-General of the Central European Initiative (CEI). During the meeting, the two officials exchanged views on strengthening cooperation between Croatia and the CEI, support for Ukraine, and other issues of mutual interest.
Grlić Radman underscored Croatia’s support for the CEI and its core objectives, including European integration and sustainable development. He emphasized that a credible enlargement perspective of the EU is a strategic investment in European security and stability. The minister also noted Croatia's appreciation for the efforts the CEI is making to achieve these goals.
Croatia has been a member of the Central European Initiative since 1992 and has held the CEI Presidency twice, in 1998 and 2018. In 2025, the Presidency was assumed by Serbia.
