Minister of Foreign and European Affairs Gordan Grlić Radman on Wednesday participated in a meeting of NATO member states’ foreign ministers, held in the virtual format.

Two sessions were held on the second day of the meeting. The main topic of the first was China, which also saw the participation of partner countries Australia, Japan, New Zealand, South Korea, Finland, and Sweden, as well as the EU high representative for foreign affairs and security policy. The second session saw the foreign ministers of Georgia and Ukraine, and focused on the security situation in the Black Sea.

Addressing the conference, Grlić Radman welcomed the opportunity to exchange views on China with NATO’s partners. China is making great technological advances in areas such as AI and 5G, so it is necessary to remain engaged with the country in terms of joint challenges and to include China in talks on the future nuclear arms control, he said.

The minister underscored support for the sovereignty and territorial unity of Georgia and Ukraine, thanking the two countries for their significant contribution to the Alliance.
