Minister of Foreign and European Affairs Gordan Grlić Radman on Thursday held a working meeting with representatives of the Society of Brethren of the Croatian Dragon, including Grand Master Mislav Grgić and Snježana Schuster. The meeting was also attended by Diplomatic Academy Director Karlo Kolesar and special advisor to the minister, Vanda Babić Galić.

Grgić expressed gratitude for the reception and introduced the Society of Brethren of the Croatian Dragon, proposing collaboration with the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs in marking the 1100th anniversary of the Croatian Kingdom over the next year. This would be done through more than 30 cultural and social projects, which are part of the Society’s program activities. Special mention was made of the support from the Croatian Parliament, which in March of this year, at the proposal of Matrix Croatica and the Society of Brethren of the Croatian Dragon, declared 2025 as the Year of the 1100th Anniversary of the Croatian Kingdom.

Grlić Radman familiarized himself with the activities of the Society, which aim to strengthen national identity and Croatian unity both within the homeland and among the diaspora. These activities also highlight the symbolic significance of this historical event and the importance of King Tomislav for the Croatian people, especially for young and future generations of Croats living outside Croatia. The possibility of cooperation and support in implementing projects and informing Croats through Croatian embassies in European and global countries, particularly in monarchies, was emphasized.

Grlić Radman expressed a desire for his ministry to cooperate in marking the 1100th anniversary of the Croatian Kingdom, while the representatives of the Society of Brethren of the Croatian Dragon thanked the minister for his support and for the opportunities that are opening up for international cooperation through our embassies in the realization of these projects.
