Minister of Foreign and European Affairs Gordan Grlić Radman on Tuesday in Zagreb met with Brazilian Foreign Minister Mauro Vieira.

The two ministers expressed mutual satisfaction with the bilateral ties and discussed the prospects of their additional strengthening. They also exchanged views on the global topics of interest, EU-CELAC cooperation, as well as the situation in the Western Balkans, Ukraine, Latin America and the Caribbean.

“Brazil and Croatia have a lot in common. The Croatian expat community in Brazil has contributed a lot to the Brazilian cultural environment,” underlined Vieira during his first official to Zagreb.

Two bilateral agreements were signed at the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs: Culture and Media Minister Nina Obuljen Koržinek signed an agreement on cultural cooperation between the Croatian and Brazilian government with Vieira, while Science and Education Minister Radovan Fuchs signed an agreement on education.

“These agreements will further strengthen our bilateral cooperation, friendship and ties between our nations,” underlined Grlić Radman.
