Minister Grlić Radman holds bilateral talks with Greek counterpart Dendias
Minister Gordan Grlić Radman on Friday in Pula met with Greek Foreign Minister Nikos Dendias.
The two ministers discussed topics of mutual interest, notably the situation in Southeast Europe as well as Croatia-Greece economic cooperation and cooperation in the Mediterranean.
Grlić Radman and Dendias also reflected on the cooperation within MED9, which Croatia became a member of last year. “As part of the Mediterranean circle, Croatia has a lot to offer in terms of advancing the political dialogue and economic cooperation in the region,” said Grlić Radman, underlining that the issues such as climate change, security challenges and migration could only be solved through cooperation.
The minister added that the current situation in Bosnia and Herzegovina is untenable and unpromising, and that it was necessary to reach an agreement on the electoral law as soon as possible in order to achieve equality of all three constituent peoples.
Grlić Radman thanked Greece for supporting Croatia’s OECD and Schengen bid, underscoring satisfaction with the two countries’ increasingly stronger bilateral relations.
Announcing a visit by the Greek prime minister to Croatia in a few weeks’ time, Dendias thanked Croatia for giving Greek companies the opportunity to participate in an important infrastructural project of building access roads to the Pelješac Bridge. He added that the two countries’ economic cooperation was good, while trade was constantly growing and facilitated further investment.
