Minister Gordan Grlić Radman was on an official visit to the Arab Republic of Egypt on 30 and 31 March. On the second day of his visit, the minister opened with his Egyptian counterpart Sameh Shoukry a business forum, which was attended by more than 120 Egyptian and Croatian business people.

In his keynote address, Grlić Radman said there was room to expand economic trade, underscoring significant interest among Croatian companies engaged in energy, defence, shipbuilding, construction, industrial automation, as well as the food, timber and pharmaceutical industries.

“Today’s meeting is an indicator of the joint will to advance cooperation and, hopefully, an indicator of future exchange. Our friendly relations and mutual trust offer a solid foundation for the advancement of economic and business ties,” he said.

The minister also underlined the advantages of investing in Croatia, inviting business people to explore the possibilities we offer.

“We are looking forward to the additional strengthening of our traditionally friendly relations, based on time-honoured mutual understanding and partnership, which are also a part of the EU-Egypt partnership. I am certain that the ever-stronger partnership between our countries will open even more possibilities for economic cooperation and investment,” Grlić Radman concluded.
