Minister of Foreign and European Affairs Gordan Grlić Radman on Friday participated in the Antalya Diplomacy Forum, where he spoke at a panel on transatlantic relations.

“As a long-standing U.S. partner and ally in Southeast Europe, transatlantic partnership is very important for Croatia. Transatlanticism is based on our common values, which are the foundation of global security and stability. We have to adapt to new multipolar power relations and oppose authoritarian trends world wide,” Grlić Radman said.

“We need coordinated activity at multilateral forums and institutions because they are crucial for setting global standards and keeping the peace and international order,” he added.

The minister underscored that Croatia was dedicated to multilateralism and the renewal of transatlantic relations and, as a co-founder of the Three Seas Initiative, is focused on strengthening Central European cooperation to contribute to Europe’s energy, digital and transport cohesion.

On the margins of the forum, Grlić Radman held a number of bilateral talks: with OECD Secretary-General Mathias Cormann, Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov, Iranian Foreign Minister Javad Zarif, Kyrgyz Foreign Minister Ruslan Kazakbaev, and Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba.
