Minister Grlić Radman addresses HNV president on occasion of suffering of Croats in Vojvodina
Minister of Foreign and European Affairs Gordan Grlić Radman on Friday sent a letter to president of the Croatian National Council (HNV) Jasna Vojnić on marking the suffering of Croats in Vojvodina.
“Today, when we commemorate the horrors from the end of the 20th century, one of the most tragic periods in the recent history of Vojvodina’s Croats and Vojvodina as a whole, marked by organised, ethnically motivated violence, expulsion and killings of Croats – Serbian citizens of Croatian nationality, I want to encourage you in your steadfast remembrance of all the victims and suffering,” the minister wrote.
Grlić Radman also commended the continuous efforts, determination and courage of the community, underscoring that Vojvodina’s Croats are an integral part of the Croatian people. He concluded the letter by emphasizing that, despite all the challenges and trying times, the Croatian Government would continue to offer support and encouragement in building a better and brighter future.
