Minister Grabar-Kitarović received Indonesian Minister of Foreign Affairs Noer Hassan Wirajuda
Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration of the Republic of Croatia Kolinda Grabar-kitarović received on Monday, 19 March 2007, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia Noer Hassan Wirajuda, who is currently officially visiting Croatia
In terms of economic cooperation, both ministers expressed desire to increase the cooperation to the level of political relations. In the part related to the economy the ministers concluded that last year the countries traded around $ 45 million worth of goods and services. They also discussed the use of sea ports, particularly Rijeka port, as an entry point into European market and also the presence of Croatian companies on the Indonesian market.
The fact that the two countries signed around ten bilateral international agreements, out of which the Agreement for the avoidance of double taxation with respect to taxes on income and the Agreement on the promotion and protection of investments were highlighted, is mutually considered as important. The two ministers also deemed important the protocol on cooperation in the field of culture and the memorandum on the cooperation between the ministries of foreign affairs of the two countries. This protocol is expected to serve as a frame for exchanging experience through diplomatic academies.
